As many of you know, my cousin is at HVRC on life-support. We were raised as brothers. He is 26, and has a 3-year old son. Like me, he has battled addiction, and he was just getting his life turned around when a terrible tree-cutting accident occurred. I sent a Myspace bulletin in response to one my brother sent that I feel the need in my heart to share with my friends on here. I try not to let the personal side come out much, so it takes a bit of courage for me to do this. I do this in the hopes that you all will not take youth for granted. Our next breath is not guaranteed. Tell/SHOW the ones that you love what they mean to you please

My Thoughts On My Cousin
Body: I know that we have to accept God's will. I know that God has the plan. He is all-knowing. I also know that he is indeed the greatest physician, and a miracle is in order, and if he chooses it so, it will be. I have a hard time dealing with the fact that just now Shane has finally turned his life around, and now this on one hand. On the other hand, I am rejoicing in the knowledge that if God does need to take him to be his son Isiah's guardian angel, that our master gave him the time to meet him with a clear conscious, and the peace, love, and joy that comes with knowing Christ. I know that my cousin will be at the father's table and walking in paradise with my dad and papaw (I am working hard to get myself right so I can too). I am selfish. I do not/am not ready to say goodbye. I pray for that miracle because I want to get to know my "new" cousin, but if it's his will, then I will indeed know him again. It will just be a matter of time. Our family has been stung by tragedy too many times. I know what it is like to lose a dad way too young. I refuse to give up hope, but although it will kill me if God takes him, I will accept his will. I will rejoice in the knowledge that the words below give me:

revelation 21:3,4

3. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, [and be] their God. 4. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
